Neutral feedback without reason...
Hello everyone.
Today I noticed that I recently received neutral feedback regarding a used mouse I sold a couple of weeks ago.
The feedback says:
"Wet mouse. Damaged contacts with oxidation."
This really surprised me, because:
- First of all, it wasn’t wet at all. The packaging was done very well; I’m the kind of person who’s way too meticulous about these things. I used a cardboard box, lined on the top and bottom with packing air cushions, and the mouse was also inside a nylon bag to protect it further. Maybe the package got wet during shipping, but that certainly can’t be my fault.
- Second, the issue of the oxidized contacts: I had literally written that in the item description and made it clearly visible in one of the photos, as you can see for yourselves. So I don’t understand why complain about something that was clearly stated.
Fortunately it’s not negative feedback, but I won’t deny that I was still disappointed by it; it’s the first time in many years that something like this has happened to me.
I also have a video of the mouse in question, recorded a few minutes before packing it, showing that it worked perfectly and that it was anything but wet!
Is there any way to resolve this, or once feedback has been left, is there nothing that can be done?
I have already contacted the buyer and expressed my concerns to him, and I’m waiting for his reply...
Thank you very much.

OP3 years agoIt feels to me like I'm in a candid...
Yesterday afternoon I pointed out to the buyer that the issue of oxidized contacts was clearly specified both in the description and in the photos...
A little while ago he replied to me, and I quote verbatim:
"Not everything is always read"
Well, in all these years I've never seen anything like it.
Maybe I'm taking it too hard for feedback that after all is only neutral and not negative, but I still find it dishonest behavior, and a reply like that seems to me like yet another take-the-piss...

Mentore3 years agoThe feedback is correct in form and you can't ask ebay to remove it. If the buyer understands your reasons, you could send them a revision request and they might accept it.
