Automatic positive feedback also on eBay?
Question for the ebay staff.
When do you plan to introduce automatic positive feedback ?
If a buyer, after 14 days (time period taken as a reference for the legal right of withdrawal but it could also be different), does not report any negative issues, then isn’t it possible and justified to consider the transaction positive ?
In my experience, less than 50% of users leave feedback, and this causes frustration and dissatisfaction since you can’t tell whether you did a good job.
Other platforms already work this way, giving the seller the credit that the buyer certainly, out of laziness, chose not to express, while they are always ready to criticize if service issues or unwanted details have occurred, also knowing that in turn they themselves will only be able to be judged positively.
The paradox is that there are buyers with positive feedback that says "NON-PAYING BUYER" while there are sellers with dozens of completed transactions without problems who do not see their work rewarded.
Think about it

OP1 year agoI don't agree, feedback is an evaluation, whether right or wrong, it is still an evaluation and helps increase buyers' trust.
Assuming a seller with 1000 sales and 0 feedback (an extreme case), trust in the eyes of buyers would be very low, whereas the seller would still have gained excellent experience and credibility. Instead, a seller with 1000 sales, 10 positive feedbacks left and 1 negative would have a score of 90% and not, potentially, 99.99%
In my opinion, this is not a trivial issue, but rather one of transparency and fairness on the platform toward users.

Mentore1 year agoWhich type of evaluation would you categorize automatic feedback as?
In my opinion it would be a simple "sales counter" and it would no longer have the value it should have: a review of the work done given by the buyer!
If a seller makes 1,000 sales and has no feedback, it doesn't matter much; the sales count or completed sales can be seen in the shop or on the seller's page, for example you have more than 10,000 feedback but have over 18,000 items sold.
Best regards.

Mentore1 year agoEven today feedback has only a relative value; if it were released automatically it would no longer be worth anything.
