Deadline for return
Good morning everyone,
about 3 weeks ago I ordered an item which, according to eBay, was supposed to arrive within a week.
A few hours after the purchase I received an email from the seller (a store in Germany) informing me that the package would arrive between three and four weeks after the purchase.
Since the delivery time was too long, I decided to request a return.
The package arrived today but the 30 days for the return have already passed.
What should I do in this situation, send the package back to the sender?

Mentore1 year agoObviously you made a mistake. How could you think of requesting a return for the package before it had arrived?
On eBay, the procedure closes after 21 days from the opening of the return request.
If you let this time pass, for eBay the matter is closed.
You’ll have to rely on the protection offered by the payment method, so you can use the Paypal site to open a dispute or you can do a chargeback through the bank that handles your credit card.

Mentore1 year agoGood morning,
opening or asking for a return for an item that hadn't arrived yet didn't make much sense... at most you should have opened a report for item not yet arrived.
Anyway, after 30 days from the delivery date eBay can no longer help you, you need to contact your payment method.
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoI noticed it too, unfortunately. It was my first order on eBay so I wasn't very experienced, I realized the mistake the moment after sending the request.
What does he mean by "turn to the payment method"?

Mentore1 year ago.... you can use the Paypal site to open a dispute, or you can do a chargeback through the bank that manages your credit card. It depends on what you used for the payment.

OP1 year agoThanks for the reply, I understand, but what should I do with the package, can I keep it or do I have to send it back to the seller?

Mentore1 year agoUntil you get the refund, it's still yours... when and if you manage to get your money back, it’s right to return the item to the seller... obviously at your own expense because it was your change of mind.
Kind regards.
