Funds blocked even though the buyer has received the items.

I have two items with funds on hold, shipped and received by the buyer with positive feedback.
This was a sale of three items, shipped in the same package (as agreed with the buyer), of which only one has its funds released.
Obviously they didn’t resolve it over the phone, although they did make it clear they had tried.
Package delivered, with tracking, on April 2.
Even eBay shows it as delivered but the funds remain there until the 11th.
I’m not in a hurry, but since I’m precise with my shipments, I expect eBay to be too.

Were they 3 separate sales that you merged on your own (without notifying eBay)?

OP1 year agoYes, the buyer bought from me and paid immediately without asking me for combined shipping, or the total, for two of the three items, both with an offer to buy.
For the third item, also with an offer to buy, we agreed on an offer, removing the costs already incurred and agreeing on a single shipment.

Mentore1 year agoThere isn't a direct correlation between the goods arriving and the release of funds.
If anything, the problem is that if the buyer opens a case for an item not received, you'll be forced to refund them.
On eBay there is a specific function for grouping shipments; without it, eBay needs a shipping code for every transaction. Private agreements have no value.

OP1 year agoThe buyer has already left me all three positive feedbacks.
I entered the code for each transaction, obviously the code is the same for all three.
I didn’t know about the function to group the shipment, or rather I thought it couldn’t be done anymore after receiving the payment.

Mentore1 year agoAn dishonest buyer could dispute 3 non-arrivals with you, you respond to the first with a code, but you can’t use the same code to respond to the two subsequent disputes and you’re forced to refund.
Anyway, keep in mind that the vast majority of buyers on eBay are honest, so it’s just a matter of waiting a few days; this doesn’t change the fact that you need to be aware of the risk you took in order to avoid it happening again in the future.
