24-month car battery warranty
I bought a car battery 1 year and a few months ago, and from one day to the next it completely discharges, and when I measure it it reads 6 volts, and any attempt to recharge it is useless.
I contacted the seller, who kindly asked me for photos of all sides of the battery. Once I sent them, he no longer replied to my messages. Since more than a year has passed, am I entitled to a replacement under warranty? And if the seller ignores me like he is doing, what should I do?

Mentore1 year agoNo, because after a year it is your responsibility to prove that it is a manufacturing defect and considering that the life of a battery is affected by several factors (use, charge and discharge cycles, power surges, etc...) it is not possible to request a replacement.
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoThanks to you too for the reply, however it's still not clear to me why he asked me for the photos and then ignored any message. It's a pretty strange behavior.

Mentore1 year agoHe will have simply stalled... and then he will have looked into it...
Good evening.

Mentore1 year agoUnder the legal warranty, after one year the burden of proof is on the buyer.
You will have to prove that the battery damage was not caused by charging current and voltage, possible short circuits, excessively deep discharges, excessive charging and discharging speed, too many cycles, etc....
In practice, it is impossible, even for a technician, to establish that the battery broke due to a manufacturing defect and not due to improper use.

OP1 year agoThanks a lot for the reply, so for what reason did the seller ask me for photos of all sides of the battery?
He could have told me right away that it wasn’t possible. Instead, after the photos, he just stopped responding altogether, which is a pretty suspicious attitude.
