Two-year commercial warranty from the seller
Good evening, I have a curiosity. When buying an item X on Ebay from professional dealers/sellers, you are entitled to the seller's commercial warranty and the manufacturer's legal warranty. Suppose this case: I buy an item from a professional seller X who issues me the purchase document without a receipt or invoice, which on the other hand are not required by law (receipt or invoice). If, over the course of the two years, the product has a problem and the seller is no longer registered on Ebay, who can I turn to to enforce the warranty directly from the seller? I know I could turn to the manufacturer, but if I want to refer only to the seller what should I do? write directly to Ebay? submit the sales document to Ebay? the PayPal payment receipt and the transaction saved at the time? how are you protected in such cases? thanks.

Mentore2 years agoThe legal warranty toward consumers is an obligation only for professional sellers with a registered office in an EU country.
If you buy from a seller outside the EU, you do not have this warranty. Many manufacturers do not even recognize the commercial warranty if you buy the product from a seller outside the EU.
However, if there is a warranty, you have to deal with it directly with the seller or with the manufacturer. No point going through eBay.
