Warranty from private seller
Hello, I was intending to sell 2 ceiling fans, they are still new and packaged, so I will select the condition "new" but I do not have a warranty on them. I am a private seller and I was wondering if, when I sold them, would I have to be personally responsible if something were to break down in a few months? I saw online that the private seller must offer a 12-month warranty. Is that true? Does that also apply on eBay? Should I perhaps indicate in the description the wording "sold as seen"? Thanks to anyone who replies.

Mentore3 years agoPrivate sellers are required to guarantee that what they sell conforms to the listing. They are not required to provide any other type of warranty. The sold as seen, no returns mode makes no sense; the buyer can only see what you show them. Sell them as used, in like-new condition, and you'll have fewer problems.
