Handling a dispute
Good morning, I wanted to know if anyone knows how to deal with a buyer who placed an order with me for €110 for three safes weighing 15 kg each, but wanted to pay shipping costs as if it were a single safe, and obviously shipping 15 kg of goods costs significantly less than 45 kg. When I received the purchase request I immediately contacted the buyer telling him that the shipping cost was not just €15 but had to be multiplied by 3. He replied that I should go ahead and so I did. I ordered the packaging supplies on Amazon, I paid the shipping cost for the first safe through the postal service website, but the buyer canceled the order late in the morning of the following day. I tried to contact him by email, WhatsApp messages, the eBay chat, and he replied only once asking me to accept the cancellation of the order. I did not accept because, at the very least, I would like to be reimbursed for the actual costs. What can I do?
Thanks to anyone who wants to reply

Mentore3 years agoGood morning,
the buyer cannot cancel the purchase... they can only send you a formal request... it’s up to you to decide whether to accept it or ship anyway and risk a bogus return request completely at your expense... even if you don’t accept returns, if they open a request for return for item not as described (that’s why “bogus”), you are obliged to handle it.
So think carefully about whether it’s worth losing only the packaging costs, or also losing the money for both shipments (outbound and return).
Kind regards.
