As a buyer, you CANNOT cancel any order... at most you can explicitly ask the seller, who is not obliged to comply with your request!

So until you receive confirmation from ebay that the seller has agreed to cancel your order, you are always at risk of receiving what you paid for... after that, if they accept the return, you can send it back at your own expense.
