I bought it with Buy It Now, but the seller says he didn't link an account

As the title says, I'm in this situation: basically I bought some items to pick up in person with Buy Now and paid immediately. Afterwards I wrote to the seller to arrange picking up the goods, but he says it's impossible that I paid because he doesn't have a linked account. Now I don't know what to do, I need help

You pay ebay, then it's the seller's problem; to sell on ebay and receive the money, they have to link a checking account to their account.

For items to be picked up in person, cash payment is also possible, but this does not exclude your right to pay through ebay to be protected by the platform in case of problems with the item.

So now the seller has to choose whether to deliver you the product or cancel the sale and refund you in advance.
