I created an order with fake details - I don't have an account
I created an order this morning and wanted to set a pickup point as the pickup method.
I didn’t find any reference to that field on the data entry pages. So I thought I’d do a test order and entered test data in the email and address fields. It seems that the mobile number was correct, as were the prepaid card details. At the time I placed the order, I was not yet a registered customer with my own account. By mistake the order was closed and there is no way for me to modify the order details. The amount was regularly charged to the card.
Any support request requires setting up the account, so I’m in no way able to get in touch with support to report the problem.
Can you intervene to modify at least the pickup point?

Mentore3 years agoNo, the address can only be changed BEFORE the purchase, not after.
If you’ve “played around” with eBay, you need to take responsibility for it... if you didn’t provide the correct email or shipping address, eBay can’t help you in any way... also because by providing incorrect details, you’ve violated eBay’s most basic rule.

OP3 years agoThank you for your kind assistance.
I realize the mistake, but it was made in good faith while trying to fill in the pickup point, which I have never seen. The charge was made regularly and I have some details that definitely refer to the order entered as a note for the transaction. Can they be helpful in locating the order and making the corrections?
Can the link you included in the reply be helpful to me?

OP3 years agoI used an email address aa@nnnn.it that doesn't exist.
Would it be possible to set the correct email address so that I can manage the order?
thanks

Mentore3 years agoNo.
As already said, any change must be made BEFORE any order; if you entered a fake email, you couldn't receive the confirmation with the order number, so even the link indicated can't help you.
Just hope the seller notices the stupid thing you did and cancels the order of their own accord... otherwise, money lost.
Pointless to contact ebay... you risk being banned for life over this stupidity... ebay is not a game!
Best regards.
