I put an item up for sale on eBay: now I've found an in-person buyer
I put an item up for sale on e-bay but, before finding a buyer on e-bay, I myself found a buyer I know. What should I do with e-bay? Can I cancel it? Are there any penalties?

If you haven't paid any amount for the listing, you won't have any penalty or additional charge.
