I got a refund from eBay, but the seller is asking for payment
Hello,
On 10/09/2023 I paid for an item. The expected delivery date was 03/10. I contacted the seller several times asking whether it could be sent a bit earlier, but I received no reply UNTIL I was able to request a refund. At that point, after three days of incoherent messages, eBay stepped in and refunded me. The next day the seller updated the shipment and the item arrived on 12 October.
Today he sends me an email where he “kindly” waits for payment for the item that shows as delivered.
I note that during those three days I wrote several times that I wanted a refund from the seller, but I was sent messages that were truly nonsensical and vague.
What should I do now? I have absolutely no intention of paying anything, not so much because of the amount, which is negligible, but because it seems like a huge joke. If he had been honest, I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid.

Mentore2 years agoBut you can't keep both the item and the refund; you can ask the seller to arrange pickup of the item at their expense, or keep it and pay for it.
