I shipped it, but the package hasn’t arrived
Hello everyone, I’m asking for information regarding a sale I made. I shipped it properly with GLS from Italy to Spain, but as of today the parcel is still showing as in transit and presumably lost. The buyer opened a dispute for unpaid item and Ebay refunded the buyer in full, charging me all the costs. Is there a way to use seller protection? I did everything properly, I have no direct responsibility, is it possible that I have to lose everything?

Mentore3 years agoAccording to eBay's terms of service, the goods always travel at the seller's risk and peril (both for professional sellers and private sellers). So you can try to go after the courier you entrusted your package to, or the insurance company (if you had taken out insurance).
Think what the buyer should say if they weren't refunded by you.

OP3 years agoThe user has already been refunded by ebay regularly, the issue is that I'd like to understand what seller protection consists of if ebay then leaves me to my own devices. I have regularly paid the sales taxes.

Mentore3 years agoFor shipping-related issues, eBay can’t guarantee you anything, it’s your responsibility... if you didn’t insure it, there’s really nothing you can do... and eBay can’t take on responsibility that isn’t theirs if you didn’t insure it.
It’s the so-called "business risk"... even if you sell used items...
