Question

I made a purchase by mistake. I requested the cancellation of the order, which was carried out, but I realized that the refund was issued, as well as the payment, to a card that is no longer active. The problem is that the charge shows up on my new card, which I had not provided to ebay, and I don’t understand how it could have accepted the payment from an expired card. Result: the payment was posted to the new card and the refund was issued to the old one: basically I don’t have a refund!!

What you’re saying is impossible.The refund always follows the same path as the payment, in reverse. So if they refunded you to the old card, that was the card used for the payment. Anyway, there’s no problem, we’ve already talked about this several times in the past here on the forum. Just ask the card issuer to transfer the funds from the old card to the new one.  byemario
