I sold and my balance is blocked
So, I read and understood that as a new or infrequent seller, the payment balance is blocked for security reasons. They have already confirmed my bank account, I sold something and my balance is blocked for 15 days... but how much should I sell in a month or a year to no longer be considered new or infrequent?? I would like to put another item up for sale but I'm afraid of the holding time, I can't be paid every 15 days! I haven't found this information anywhere, can someone tell me? thanks

Mentore3 years agoThis information doesn't exist, eBay assesses each case individually. Normally sellers say that you need at least around fifteen sales to get out of the new seller condition.

OP3 years agoThanks Mario, if that’s how things stand then I don’t intend to sell here yet, it makes no sense to sell like this, it’s basically like selling on credit, or selling with no kind of urgency or need, better to use other selling sites.

Mentore3 years agoUnfortunately on other sites things aren’t much better... on almost all sales sites, you’re at the mercy of the buyer... you sell and have to wait for the buyer to confirm delivery... so you’re selling on credit!
Other sites, by default, pay every 15 days...
The solution would be in-person pickup with cash payment, but visibility and the related sales will be limited to your area.

OP3 years agoAs for visibility, there’s no doubt that eBay has wide reach, but when I sell on Subito-it, payment is fast and shipping convenience is just the same, and there are no commissions; payment for buyers is also convenient and safe. I haven’t understood why eBay has to put up such obstacles; obviously it isn’t a site for the occasional seller. Oh well, I’ll keep going on other sites. Thanks for your replies.

You don’t receive the payment right away... but only after the buyer confirms it... so you shorten the timing by just a few days... and for those few days you want to sacrifice visibility?
Honestly, I don’t understand!

OP3 years agoYou can also do credit, but it seems quite different for a one-off seller since it has its own timing; with tuttosubito so far I’ve had a maximum of 5 days to get the money into my account, compared to 15 days on eBay, according to what I’ve read. So the customer pays me, I ship the next day and it arrives to the customer the following day, they confirm and I get the money at most 2 days after confirmation. From payment to receiving the money in my account, 5 days pass at most; it seems to me that for you regular sellers it will be the same, while they (Subito) don’t care if you’re not a recurring seller. This is for the safe buying and selling case, which seems to me the best procedure; after that, of course, if you want to do it outside the recommended procedure with a direct bank transfer to the seller, then it’s already a different situation. eBay is simply different from Subito, I have to adapt to what I need.

Mentore3 years agoUnder perfectly theoretical conditions... I'll give you a small example, something that happened to me... 13 days... so, not everything that glitters is gold!
