Sellers don't leave Feedback, not even after receiving it, why doesn't eBay step in???
Summary: A participant complains that sellers on eBay don't leave feedback, even after receiving it. They ask why eBay doesn't step in on this issue.
More and more often I keep running into sellers from all over the world who, after completing the transaction and receiving positive Feedback, disappear into thin air, without leaving their Feedback and without even replying to messages of "reminder".
I found out that now eBay automatically leaves positive Feedback to sellers who are not left Feedback for the transactions.. but why doesn't eBay extend this "favor" to buyers who don't receive feedback from sellers??? Are buyers second-class users for eBay? Why do they have fewer rights than sellers? Shouldn't the rules and rights apply to everyone? Instead, you spend 400/500 euros on an item, make sure to leave excellent feedback for the seller in question, thank them, but then in return you don't even get what is rightfully due to you after sending payment! There are many sellers who leave it automatically, but many others who simply don't care about returning the favor and that doesn't seem right to me at all and I think it is deplorable that eBay leaves buyers alone regarding this problem and doesn't step in seriously, in this way all the nice words of the eBay community go to waste.. Why doesn't eBay introduce automatic Feedback for paying buyers too??? Then people complain that customers flee eBay to move to other online commerce platforms where they feel more protected.. A buyer who pays has the sacred right to receive feedback for that transaction and if the seller doesn't do it then eBay must step in, just as it does for sellers! eBay, if you're there, give us a sign while you count the money you make us earn every day, us buyers, thanks!

Mentore11 months agoLeaving feedback is optional for both sellers and buyers.
During the app shopping period, there are tons of users, of any kind, who don’t leave feedback. That’s why eBay introduced automatic feedback only for new sellers, so that they don’t always stay at zero. For a seller, feedback is much more important than for a buyer.

OP11 months agoHi Mario, I also thought it was as you say, but that’s not the case, automatic Feedback is not released only to new sellers, it is released to all sellers who, after a certain amount of time, still haven’t received it from the buyer.
For example, there is a user registered in 2010 who in the last 6 months has received 4 automatic Feedbacks.. anyone can verify what I’m saying, just look at anyone’s Feedback, there are sellers with thousands of Feedbacks who keep receiving automatic ones, even though they’ve been signed up for years!
You also say that for sellers Feedback is more important, but on eBay we can all be both buyers and sellers, why should a buyer give up a higher Feedback score that will certainly affect their reliability on the platform the day they decide to sell something? Even though they are Feedbacks as a buyer, they still attest to their seriousness and experience as an eBay user!
On eBay there should be reciprocity, if a seller has the "right" to receive feedback (and they will definitely receive it) this right should also exist for buyers, wasn’t eBay’s reliability system entirely based on the release of Feedback? And why now should this system for buyers fade away because of the arrogance of various sellers?
Now all payments go through eBay, which knows when a buyer pays or not, so what would it take to automate the release of Feedback once payment has been made?
