eBay's response service has gotten brutally worse in form and is frustrating for the customer
Summary: gianfrancosimo raised concerns about the decline in the quality of eBay's customer support, describing it as frustrating for customers. sika700 acknowledged the issue, but no further details or solutions were discussed.
eBay’s response service has been brutally worsened in form: if you don’t win the auction, the acknowledgement message starts with "you let slip:". Not only are you disappointed by not buying the item, but you’re also mentally beaten up with these ugly words. Why was it decided to use this form of offensive verbal violence? Before, a kind notice arrived: "Unfortunately you didn’t win but there are other offers" and you stayed reassured; now it’s as if they were saying: "Incompetent, you let a unique opportunity slip away". The people who have "renewed" the site ignore the formal syntactic tools based on politeness and prove unable to establish a courteous relationship in dealing with the customer. eBay is now a bullying, arrogant, hostile platform; I’ll leave it and I will absolutely advise against it, also because the offers are often far too expensive compared to the actual value of the items.
