the seller is not very reliable
Summary: alfno-61 bought a Nokia phone on eBay that stopped working after six months. He contacted the seller for help, but was asked to pay the shipping costs for the repair, even though the law protects consumers on these costs. The seller responded arrogantly. marioelegio advised reporting the seller's behavior to the market authority through their website.
In January I bought a new Nokia from a shop here on eBay, and for the past few days it no longer works. I contacted the seller for help, but he says I have to pay the shipping costs for the repair and then also pay for the return shipment. I pointed out that the law protects the consumer and that it’s all his responsibility, (article 135-ter of the consumer code) but he couldn’t care less and even replied in a rather arrogant way. What should I do? It basically only worked for six months. How do I contact eBay? Can you advise me?
