the seller does not want to cancel the order
Hello, I have a problem, I bought custom pedestals from this seller: artelegno
But then I decided to cancel the order before the seller started working on the pedestals, because he had written to me that he was going to start working on the pedestals on Thursday, which would be today.
The seller does not want to cancel the order.
I no longer need the pedestals and would like a refund please, what should I do ?

OP1 year agoOK, all right, I already understood everything for a good couple of hours now, and I’ve already sorted everything out with the seller, could this discussion be closed please? I keep getting notifications by eMail.

OP1 year agoProblem solved, not even to stretch the sauce a bit more, eBay is not Amazon unfortunately

Mentore1 year agoAmazon would hardly produce customized items for you... and if it did, you'd have the same problem!
Have a good evening.

OP1 year agoNo, with Amazon I've never had any problems, I've been buying on Amazon for ages and never had a problem like this. Anyway, is there some option to remove this discussion completely? because from what I understand, you’re all sellers here and you all side with the seller.

Mentore1 year agoMaybe because Amazon doesn't produce custom items... and if you had found a seller who does... I repeat again... the problem would have remained exactly the same...

Mentore1 year agobecause from what I understand, you’re all sellers here and you all side with the seller.
The issue is not that, the policy is eBay's - and PayPal's - not the sellers' or the buyers', the most important thing is to know it.

OP1 year agoProblem solved then

Mentore1 year agoLong story short, you can't get a refund and keep the pedestals.
Next time you need to buy more carefully and think it through better.
Have a good evening.

OP1 year agohe still has to make the pedestals for me, I had only messaged the seller, and I asked him if I could cancel the order and get my money back, but he said the order couldn’t be canceled, and so, in the end I said ok, when the work is finished he’ll send them to me, since they’ve already been paid for anyway, and even if I don’t need them I’ll put them aside.

Mentore1 year agoYou can't do anything. Only the seller could decide whether to accept your cancellation request.
You won't even be able to ask to return the goods, since it's customized.

OP1 year agoBut I still haven't received the product, I'd like a refund, how do I do it? Do I need to open a dispute with PayPal?
cizeta1964
Mentore1 year agoAnd what would you open the dispute for on PayPal? You haven’t received anything yet
sanfi_rosar
OP1 year agoTo get my money back

Mentore1 year agoThat's not how it works, the dispute must have a reason: either you didn't receive the item or, when you received it, it doesn't match what was written in the listing.
For customized items, non-conformity is not a valid reason.

Mentore1 year agoIf the seller has decided not to accept your cancellation request, you’re stuck with what he’ll send you and you won’t be able to ask for a refund neither with eBay nor with PayPal.
Most likely he has already cut or bought the material and it’s not fair that he should be the one to take the loss.
Since these are custom-made items (created especially for you), returns are not предусмотрены (except for particular issues).
bye

OP1 year agoI already answered this question, I’ll have the order delivered and keep it, and no refund, I’ve already sorted everything out with the seller. This discussion is water under the bridge now, it can be closed.
