Outdated email address

After making a purchase, I realized that eBay's confirmation email was sent to an old address that has been closed for years now.

I have updated my profile, and I would like to be sure that, in any case, the purchase goes through successfully.

I imagine there shouldn't be any problems, however, is there anyone who can suggest whether I need to do anything else?

Check on your account that the purchase went through successfully... the email you receive is just confirmation of what you see on your account.
