Pre-purchase info
I’m asking for information before buying.
I’m considering a somewhat expensive purchase from a seller in Poland, but first I’d like to understand whether the purchase involves any special considerations.
Are there customs charges? Could the item be held at customs and not arrive in Italy without issues?
Is VAT included? Is the listed price already VAT-inclusive or are there other costs?
I see next to the product the wording 'eBay customer guarantee' — does this mean that if there were any problems I would still be protected?

Poland is part of the European community, so customs clearance is not required, nor is payment of additional VAT and duties.
To make sure the item is covered by eBay Buyer Protection, you need to check that it is not among the excluded ones... keep in mind that this protection can only "guarantee" you if it does not arrive and there are no tracking codes showing otherwise, and that the item is compliant with what was stated in the listing.
