Good evening,

I have put an item up for sale with local pickup only, since it’s a bit complicated to ship.
I was contacted by an interested buyer who asked me if it would be possible for him to pack it; he would arrange to send me the courier and the waybill.

Is there anything strange or anything I should pay attention to?

As soon as the package is ready, he would pay for the item.

Should I protect myself in some way?

Hello Mario,

Basically, they should pay for the item on ebay, receive the code, and communicate it to the courier or directly to me.

And before handing the parcel over to the courier, do I need to enter it in the ebay app?

Correct?

Where do you enter the code?

I don't see the section in the app. Maybe I'll find it once the item has been sold?

It said on the page I had attached to you……

Go to Sales in the eBay app.
Go to the Orders tab.
Select the Organize pickup banner.
Tap the Scan to confirm pickup button.

If the buyer doesn't have the QR code, ask them to provide the 6-digit code they received by email and enter it manually in the app.

Do not hand anything over to the courier unless you receive the QR code or the 6-digit equivalent that the buyer received from ebay. Entering that code is proof that the pickup has taken place.
