eBay Shipping Service Information
Good morning everyone,
I'm writing in the forum because, as a new professional seller on another account, I have some doubts about this integrated eBay feature. Before asking you the direct questions, I'll give you a summary of my current situation regarding couriers.
At the moment I have a subscription with Bartolini courier, but I've noticed that on small items my pricing plan becomes inconvenient, while on large items Bartolini is more or less fine for me and at the moment I wouldn't intend to change it because I would also need it for extra eBay sales that I will make on other platforms.
So I had noticed that eBay offers this type of program, integrated into the site's features, which allows through a partnership with Packlink to ship many products in a simplified way and that would interest me especially for shipping small parcels (stuff that fits in padded envelopes, to be clear) which I will need to integrate later into my shop so as to have my own courier subscription, and possibly ship small parcels through this integrated eBay service.
Therefore, the questions I would like to ask you are the following:
- Does eBay Shipping allow you to send small envelopes, preferably with integrated tracking, for around 2/3€ per shipment? If that can't be done, what would be the minimum to spend for the cheapest shipments?
- If I wanted to use my own courier and not eBay Shipping, is it possible to choose shipping through my courier as needed, or after choosing to use eBay Shipping does the site no longer allow you to choose your own courier unless you cancel the service, meaning this feature becomes binding if activated?
- Could this service also be used for sales not made on eBay's native platform, and if so how do you do it?
- Also, are the shipping methods for items explained step by step through instructions on the site, or are they more complicated to find?
If you're wondering, I do know what Packlink is and that there are many similar sites that do the same thing, like spedire.com or others that manage the relationship with multiple couriers based on various needs, but I'd like to understand how best to take advantage of this service also to avoid new subscriptions with couriers that would make managing the business much more complicated for me.
While waiting for your reply, thank you in advance.

Mentore3 years agoPersonally,
I’d skip Packlink, I’d skip BRT too and get a subscription with Poste Delivery Business, they have more competitive prices.
In any case, you can also keep BRT and see which of the two to use; the subscription with Poste is more convenient than Packlink since you have direct contact with the courier.
But if you mean spending only 2/3 € per shipment, forget it, you won’t find any courier at that price.
So you can use whichever courier you prefer, you’re not obliged to use the service eBay offers.
The shipping options are like all common couriers... if you’re referring to something specific, you can continue the conversation.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoHello,
So you're saying that even Packlink, for really small shipments like earbuds, mobile phone chargers, etc... can't find me simplified shipping options for up to €4, sent via padded and tracked envelopes, including the markup for Packlink's commission? That was my main doubt. Thanks for your help.
