Useful information
Good morning everyone, I bought a jacket in size XL. The seller does not accept returns, the jacket that arrived is smaller than a regular XL and since it is an American brand, it is definitely counterfeit. After a brief discussion, the seller accepted the return. In the reason for the return I put that it was the wrong size so as not to cause harm to the seller, since he had been accommodating. So since I put it like that, he refused the return, I should have put counterfeit as the subject and eBay throws up its hands because according to them the item matches the description. I also explained to them that if someone takes a label and sews it on top, they have nicely solved their compliance, but what kind of reasoning is that? Since the seller does not accept returns, then he can also sell a tampered item. But be careful, without specifying that it is a fake but only by glossing over saying it. But? It just has to match the three words he said. There are much more serious sites that verify authenticity even after the sale. What should I do in your opinion?
Should I go to the postal police?

Mentore2 years agoFirst of all, if it's within his right to refuse a return, it means you bought it from a private seller. A professional seller could never have refused a return, regardless of the reason.
When you filed the return request on ebay, you chose the wrong reason. If you select wrong size, it's obvious that the private seller can refuse the return. If you had doubts about authenticity, you should have selected the option that the item did not match the listing.
You can try opening a second dispute on the PayPal site (if you paid with PayPal) or do a chargeback through your credit card provider.

OP2 years agoYes Mario, but since Mr. had said he would take back my jacket, so as not to cause him any problems I put that it was the wrong size and he seized the opportunity to refuse.
What should I do with the card? What is it?
Many thanks

Mentore2 years agoYou can go to the bank or to your credit card provider’s website and ask to initiate a chargeback, since the goods you received did not match what you ordered.
All credit cards offer this option; of course, it’s a procedure that should only be used in cases of absolute necessity.
