Purchase restriction
Summary: No details were discussed beyond the subject "Purchase inhibition" with no content provided.
Hello,
I contacted a seller to buy refill cartridges for a vintage fountain pen. Not being sure they were compatible with my pen, I asked the seller to check, since in their shop they were selling both the model of my fountain pen and the cartridges I intended to buy.
The seller replied saying: The cartridges are no longer for sale. Since we continuously receive requests of this kind and to avoid pointless arguments, we have decided not to sell them anymore; we will give them away to our customers. You can go to a stationery store with your pen and you will surely find a solution. Right after this message, they blocked me as a customer on their site. Is behavior like this lawful? Can I file a formal complaint with eBay?
Thank you for your attention.
