Interactions with the Seller
Good morning.
I purchased from a foreign Seller. The payment was completed successfully, I tried to write to them a couple of days later to find out roughly when the item would arrive and they never replied to me. Can I report this or is it better to wait a few more days?

what should you report?
Sellers are under no obligation to reply and most likely didn’t answer you because the requested information is already listed in the item description... did you take the time to read it in full?
What processing time did it indicate?
Estimated delivery date?

The fact that there is no obligation to reply under E-Bay's rules does not mean that it can't be done. I believe it is a good service to users to give feedback if explicitly requested by someone who has already paid for an item in advance, even on issues already specified in the general conditions and especially if it concerns transactions abroad. I wrote to several retailers and they all replied, moreover very quickly. I don't think it cost them anything; on the contrary, they showed that they pay attention to their Customers. So it is legitimate that someone who does not take the trouble to write a single line might raise a doubt (because that is what it is about; a technical report on the product or on the shipping process was not requested).
Having no information about those listed in your questions, I turned to the person who could have given them to me. After 3 days, still "not received".
I will wait a few more days, and then possibly proceed in another way. Thank you.

Mentore1 year agoBut you still haven't checked what was written in the listing, you can find the listing in your order summary and from there you can see both the shipping date (packing time: the seller ships within nn business days) and the estimated delivery date.

OP1 year agoThe Seller replied to me this morning, apologizing for not having done so
earlier. I checked everything, but there was no news. I'm used to
interacting, even when I sell directly, not on EBay, but on other
platforms. It's a professional way to keep the buyer calm
and show that everything is okay.
I use EBay very little, but it seems quite normal to me, even if the
rules do not require it, that a question gets an answer
at least within 32/48 hours, which was not happening with this Seller.
In any case, the problem seems to have been resolved, the item even though late,
has been shipped (instead of within 3 days, 5 days have passed).

Mentore1 year agoWell, so this shows that it only takes a moment of patience and that sellers are not all the same... especially private sellers, evidently they’re not always in front of a computer.
Then it’ll be up to you whether to stand up for your side over the two days’ delay.

OP1 year agoreply for 5 days when, moreover, the item has to be shipped within 3
days of payment.
That said, my first message wasn’t meant as a complaint, but as an
information request.
It clearly wasn’t taken that way.

Mentore1 year agoSure, I agree... if you "base at least part of your online business on it" then you're no longer just a private individual selling personal used items in your spare time, so being continuously present on the marketplace is correct.
But what I may not have managed to make you understand is that not all sellers are on eBay for "work"—some are just there to get rid of useless things they have at home in their spare time.
Obviously these are only assumptions, because you didn't explain what kind of seller you dealt with.
Anyway, no hard feelings, don't worry.
