SENDING CERTAIN PROOF OF DELIVERY IS USELESS, APPEAL IS EVEN WORSE
We’re at the end of the line — I replied to a customer about a missing delivery saying everything was regular, the delivery is marked as completed. eBay suspends the dispute for 2 days, inviting us to send proof that corresponds to having delivered to the exact address. They inform us that they closed it in our favor with no refund for the buyer. They contact us again telling us that the buyer appealed and that they reversed it, refunding the buyer and taking the refund from our funds. We appeal because we had everything proving the delivery was made, and we end up getting an answer we never expected, knowing full well the data sent and the policies: a waiver. Lost more than 300€. I can’t wrap my head around it. So either you reply and provide proof, or you just don’t care because in the end seller protection is a bluff. It’s not real and you’re not taken into consideration. Sent as an attachment: proof of delivery to the corresponding address, photo of the carrier’s delivery receipt, photo of the tracking that certifies delivery with the address visible, photo of the package with the label visible. Despite everything, they said it would stay as already decided. Now I’m asking myself who protects us, are our businesses in good hands? Is it right to make a distinction with other platforms where you’re protected and have a phone contact? Are you sure you want to put our businesses at risk in the hands of young people who don’t know what it means to make mistakes and cause business losses? For a few months now I haven’t felt safe with my eBay business and I no longer feel the professionalism I once felt that made us feel like we were in the right place. eBay, very expensive, lots of money to be visible and entrusted to inexperienced, unprofessional young people, not up to the position they hold. It’s not enough just to study, you need hands-on mastery, and before giving wrong outcomes you need to understand the losses their mistakes cause. Maybe we at Caffè Millionaire have reached the end of our eBay stay. Having tried elsewhere, the Chinese make us feel safe and give value to our products and money. Best wishes to everyone.
