Does the warranty for a mobile phone part last 24 months?

I bought the on/off fingerprint recognition button for my mobile phone; after three months it stopped working and the seller does not want to honor the 24-month warranty. I asked a lawyer from Altroconsumo and he told me that the seller is obligated to provide the 24-month warranty.

If the seller doesn't reply to you... you can keep getting help from the lawyer you contacted.
