Your listing has been removed: Rules on counterfeit items
Summary: The discussion concerns the removal of a listing due to a violation of the rules on counterfeit items. No additional details were provided in the messages.
Good evening, some of my sale listings were removed, on the assumption that the products I put up for sale did not comply with the rules on counterfeit items. eBay does not allow the sale of counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorized copies.
I submitted an initial appeal without providing the purchase invoice in the appeal; subsequently I tried to appeal again but I wasn't given the possibility. I contacted them again, providing a regular purchase invoice and pointing out that I am an official dealer of this perfume brand (Versace), a professional seller with 496 positive feedback and 0 negative.
This is the reply:
''Thank you, first of all, for being part of our platform for 8 years, during which you have always shown your fairness with over 490 positive feedback, which is why I am pleased to resolve your support request.
I have carefully reviewed your case and I want to inform you that eBay, for most branded items, has a set of information provided by the manufacturers themselves, through which it verifies their authenticity.
After comparing this information and after a thorough review of your listing, we were unable to confirm the authenticity of your items and for this reason they were removed.
I want to make it clear that this does not necessarily mean that they are not authentic, but only that the information we have, compared with that in your listings, does not allow us to be sure of their originality.
Please note that the presence of items whose originality we are not sure of can expose eBay to costs in terms of legal actions and serious financial losses.
I want to assure you that our actions also take into account your excellent seller activity, but as much as we value you as a user we cannot take these risks.
However, if you have invoices or documents that can prove the authenticity of your items, I invite you to submit an appeal request from the removal email you received.''
Result: listings removed....... and if I want I can pursue an out-of-court settlement
According to you, what parameters can they use by looking at a simple photo and deducing that it is a counterfeit product?
How should I behave and what should I do?
Thanks.

Mentore1 year agoIf you don't want to risk further removals with the consequent suspension of your account, you must stop selling those items.
Any other move is useless.
Best regards.
