Good evening everyone A few days ago, I sold an item to a U.S. buyer who refused delivery (as shown on the carrier’s website: "The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery") saying that it was refused by a stranger.The buyer did not ask me to contact the carrier to reschedule delivery, but to refund him - minus “reasonable” return shipping costs, which he will reimburse me for, according to him - once I have the item back in my possession, so I did not ask the carrier to attempt a new delivery.All communication with the buyer took place on eBay’s messaging platform.Today, I spoke with the carrier, who told me that the return shipping costs and any payment of VAT and customs duties will be my responsibility.At the moment, the carrier is not able to tell me how much the return shipping costs will be.What should I do now? Should I notify eBay (and how)? Should I wait until the item is back in my possession before taking action? Thank you to anyone who can give me useful information.
