The article I received is incorrect
Summary: antonipassariell_0 bought an item on eBay but received the wrong product. After contacting the seller, they were told that opening a dispute would mean shipping costs would be their responsibility, even though the seller offered to arrange a courier pickup. antonipassariell_0 is asking for advice on how to handle the situation properly and what steps to take.
I made a purchase on eBay. The package was delivered yesterday, but only today did I realize that the item I received does not match what I ordered. I contacted the seller, who informed me that opening a dispute on eBay would result in the shipping costs being charged to me. The seller has nevertheless offered to arrange pickup of the package via courier.
I would like to know whether this procedure is correct and whether it is the appropriate way to handle the situation. What actions should I take?

Mentore1 month agoThe seller told you a load of crap.
Opening a dispute on eBay (for an item that doesn’t match the listing description) means that the return shipping costs are the seller’s responsibility.
Read this help page ... https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/returning-item/return-shipping?id=4066&st=3&pos=1&query=Spese%20di%20spedizione%20della%20restituzione%20-%20acquirenti&intent=spese%20di%20reso&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1152
Now it’s up to you to decide whether to still trust the seller and send the parcel back with their courier, or to rely on eBay.
bye
