Can shipping costs for multiple auctions won from the same seller be combined?
Good morning,
I won 4 auctions from the same seller who claims that the shipping costs for the auctions cannot be combined into a single shipment (sends by registered mail at €13 per item from Italy = €50 shipping for 4 items). This seems strange to me because I’ve already won several auctions from the same seller and no one has ever given me this problem. According to him, if he combines them into a single shipment, he loses money... why? Do some sellers perhaps front the shipping costs? Seems strange to me.... HELP

Mentore2 years agoHello,
no seller is obligated to combine shipments and therefore to use combined shipping.
If you want to continue with the purchase, you can pay for the 4 shipments, or ask for them to be canceled... something the seller is not obliged to accept.
Also remember that if you don't pay, you will receive 4 warnings for unpaid items and so your "adventure" on ebay will end here.
Honestly, I would have asked before buying or bidding in the auctions whether they could combine the shipments, instead of finding yourself with this surprise.
Best regards.

OP2 years agook, but you're not answering my question, why wouldn't it be worth it for a seller to combine the shipments? do they gain anything by shipping them separately if they all have to get to me?
I bought 4 collectible cards that fit easily in a single shipment, I can't figure out this story

Mentore2 years agoThere’s nothing to understand, we’re not in the seller’s head, so how he handles it or wants to handle it only he knows!
So the question arises: why didn’t you ask the seller whether he could combine the shipments BEFORE taking part in his auctions??
