Windows licenses not saleable on eBay.. Why?
Hello everyone. I wanted to express my concerns regarding some eBay rules concerning the sale of digital products and, specifically, license codes for Windows products.
Microsoft does not want its products to be sold by third parties, but European law
European Court C-128/2011
regarding ESD software invalidates everything, allowing them to be sold.
And that's where eBay comes into play. The site does not allow me to sell license codes either in Italy or in the European Union, blatantly ignoring the law (in Europe). Anti-trust stuff. What do you think?

Mentore3 years agoI think you're just referring to yourself... Windows licenses can also be sold on eBay... the only problem is that you have to be a professional seller (with a VAT number) and also be authorized.
So if you think eBay is ignoring European law... it could be said that you are ignoring Italian law, which forbids private individuals from selling items specifically purchased for resale... and you're also ignoring eBay's rules, as Mario has already explained to you.

Mentore3 years agoEbay does not allow private individuals who cannot prove they have the rights to sell products in digital format.
