No refund for an item that arrived different from the description.
Summary: chicco.spillo complains about a negative experience with eBay’s customer support. He says he didn’t receive a refund for an item that arrived different from the one described, due to an alleged mistake in selecting the return reason. Even though eBay acknowledges the listing was misleading and removes it, support does not step in. chicco.spillo therefore says he intends to buy only on Amazon in the future.
By now eBay customer support has become terrible.
They tell me they can’t step in for a refund on an item that arrived different from the one described because I supposedly chose the wrong return reason.
So they check that the listing was misleading, but they can’t intervene because I didn’t select the return reason correctly.
In the meantime, they remove the listing, admitting that I was right.
Really terrible customer support.
Next time I’ll only buy on Amazon.
Never again eBay.
