Absurd fund blocking mechanism
My funds have been blocked as many as three times: the first time because the buyer was not at home and the delivery was therefore made at the post office counter; the second and third times because the Post Office had used a different zip code from the one provided to me by the buyer himself.
For what reason should the funds remain blocked, even when buyers confirm receipt and that the item is as described through positive feedback? I find this mechanism absurd and highly detrimental to the seller.

Mentore2 years agoThe funds are held for 15/20 days because you are a "new" seller or an infrequent one, as per eBay's rules that you accepted when you started listing items for sale on the site.

OP2 years agoI’ve been an Ebay user since 2015 and I started selling again in April this year, completing nine sales so far (I’m pretty active for a private seller). Also, the system, in the order details section, shows the following notification:"Thank you for shipping the order and uploading the shipment tracking details. It was not possible to confirm delivery because the shipping postal code does not match the delivery address postal code. If the buyer has no issues with the order, the release of funds is scheduled for .....".
Sorry, but your answer is unacceptable.

Mentore2 years agoSo all that's left for you is to wait for a response that you find acceptable.
Good luck

OP2 years agoYour response is unacceptable because it is based on incorrect assumptions. In any case, thanks.

Mentore2 years agoYou didn't continue... when is the release expected?
Rumor has it that a seller becomes reliable after 15 sales, “let’s say,” in the short term.
So you don't fall into this category of seller.
Is this answer acceptable?

Mentore2 years agoHi sika700, sure you’ve got the right prerequisites, right???

OP2 years agoI recognize that my previous response was rather abrupt, and therefore I offer my apologies.

OP2 years agoIt depends. If he gives me an eBay link where this information is provided, then I will accept it without reservation.

Mentore2 years agoThere’s no link for “rumors around the office”... otherwise they wouldn’t be “rumors around the office”!!!
As for the rules, there is:

OP2 years agoExcuse me, but I couldn't find any reference to the "15 sales" you mentioned.
Anyway, no worries, thank you and sorry for the trouble.

Mentore2 years agoMaybe you didn't read my reply "carefully"... the 15 sales are a "rumor"... do you know what that means?
They mean "non-official news, awaiting confirmation" reported here on the forum.
Have a nice evening.
