Do not buy on eBay
I made a return for the wrong size almost two months ago, after buying the postage label directly through the eBay site. The package was lost and, despite the post office telling me both by phone and by email (an email I then forwarded to eBay) that, for this type of shipment, the compensation from the post office is paid only to eBay, which then has to refund me, eBay is categorically refusing to help me.
I opened a dispute and it was closed, I opened an appeal and that was immediately closed too. By phone, any operator acts in a rushed way and has no desire whatsoever to solve my problem; a couple of times they even raised their voices in a way that is absolutely unacceptable. I have been an eBay user since 2006 and I have been buying on ecommerce sites every day for more than 15 years, and nothing like this had ever happened to me.
The post office explained to me that all it would take is an email from eBay authorizing me to receive the compensation, so that the value of the item could be refunded directly by the post office to me: over the phone, after explaining this to the eBay operator, I received, as always, a very hasty answer and was practically mocked.
I’ve understood that this platform has now lost any credibility and is scraping the bottom of the barrel. There is no kind of guarantee, nor seriousness or professionalism.
I’ve already lost my money, but it has been a lesson for me; I will never buy on eBay again and I hope that my experience can be useful to other people too.

Mentore3 years agoEbay is not at fault... ebay sold you nothing... ebay has no couriers... you bought the shipping from Packlink and it was them you should have asked for assistance.
So complaining after two months is useless, you should have asked the forum for support while the problem was happening... hopefully your experience will also warn others that complaining is useless, help should be asked for when it's needed... the forum should not be used only to discredit a site but to give advice and sometimes to solve problems.
