I can’t ship an item I sold on time
Good morning, I’m asking here for now while I wait to be able to call eBay.
I received an order 1 day ago, I should ship within 3 days, however this morning I woke up with a health problem that I need to sort out, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to ship.
.I’m covered in red patches on my chest and back, the cause isn’t known and I have nausea and I don’t feel well. What can I do if the package doesn’t get shipped on time?
Do I contact the customer and ask them to wait, or can I directly extend the shipping days by adding a reason that automatically notifies the buyer of the reason why they receive a message saying that the shipment of the order has been delayed?

OP2 years agoThanks, that was very clear... so in the future, I'll try to set the shipping time to more than 4 days, so that if anything unexpected happens, I still stay within the shipping window.

unfortunately you have to respect what you indicated in the listing, sorry for the inconvenience.
If you don't ship on time you will receive a defect on your performance, but it is very important to contact the buyer and explain the problem to them, maybe they want to cancel the order and are not willing to wait.
