Notebook Windows Pro (does the license need to be active?)
Hello, I bought and received at home the computer with the following title: "HP EliteBook 840 G4 Core i7 vPro 7th Gen Used, with Dockstation"
In the additional description there is also this: "HP EliteBook 840 G4 Core i7 vPro 7th Gen Used Refurbished. Direct power supply and via dockstation included in the sale"
There are no other descriptions, beyond the following clarification in the processor section: Processor: Intel Core i7 VPro 7th Gen
At home, I open the notebook and notice that 1. the touchpad scrolling doesn't work (I mean what is similar to the mouse wheel), and 2. Windows Pro is not activated. Is it right that I insist on asking the seller for the license code? Or is the seller not required to sell an activated Pro version, and was a non-activated version enough? I hadn't asked him whether it was activated; I assumed it was implicitly.

Mentore1 year agoNeither in the title nor in the description is there any reference to the software, unless that vPro is meant to be one.

Got it, so that vPro doesn't necessarily refer to the software...well, I wonder what it could refer to then. I'll have to ask the seller. Yet the software does show Windows 10 Pro...in my opinion the license may have been wiped with the PC cleanup before they sent it to me. But from what I can understand from your reply, since there's no reference to the software, I have no right to keep pushing it
