Offer made by a user who lives in a foreign country to which I did not plan to ship
An Indian buyer made an offer on one of my listings. I had not indicated India as a country I would ship to, also because since it’s an item weighing over 20 kg, shipping would cost a lot.
What should I do?

if you don’t want to ship to a certain part of the world, you need to exclude it explicitly... if you don’t, everyone will have the chance to take part in your auctions.

I selected the countries I ship to and Asia wasn't checked among them.
So I had explicitly excluded it.
How should I proceed now?

Mentore3 years agoActually that’s not the case, from the listing it shows: Countries to which shipping is not available: Belarus, Russian Federation, Ukraine.
So, even if you didn't select it, you didn't explicitly exclude it.

Mentore3 years agoYes, sure, but if you don't explicitly exclude it, the likely buyer who lives in "Asia", using the writer as an example, can always take part in the auction and ask the seller for shipping costs to their country.
If you really don't want the listing to be visible in a certain country, that wording should appear, for example, in my listings you will find:
"Countries to which shipping is not available: P.O. box, Africa, Albania, Central America and the Caribbean, Andorra, Asia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Vatican City, Denmark, Estonia, Russian Federation, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Ireland, Iceland, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Middle East, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North America, Norway, Oceania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Republic of Croatia, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South America, Southeast Asia, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary"
