Items sold and a month to get paid?
A user bought one of my items for sale,
but the funds will be available after a month????
so, let me get this straight, I ship the item, and then
before paying me for it he has a month to use it, maybe
even ruin it and then return it to me as not working???
Ebay seems to have changed since the last time I used it.
But I'm not shipping anything if they don't pay me for the item.

Your suspended funds are due to the fact that you are a new seller, not certainly to give the buyer time to use the item... in any case ebay guarantees the buyer for 30 days, even if you receive your funds immediately.
The buyer has already paid ebay for your item, so if you have received this confirmation, ebay guarantees the transfer of the funds to you within the indicated timeframes.
If you do not respect the packaging and shipping timeframes that YOU stated in the listing, you risk negative feedback, performance defects and your return to ebay will come to an immediate stop...
Then you choose what you want to do.
