Purchased item never shipped
Good morning, I have a problem. On January 10 I purchased an item from another Italian user. After several days the seller uploads a shipping code and marks the item as shipped. I wait a few days, but even so the code still does not work. Today I was finally able to open a claim, after writing a couple of messages to the seller, who has always made a point of not replying.
Since a shipping code was uploaded, even though it was false, eBay could not proceed with the automatic refund. But I have to wait another week before support can proceed with the refund. In the meantime I have already left the seller negative feedback, but is it possible that just entering a fake shipping code is enough to prevent the buyer from getting a refund in a reasonable time? Moreover, to add insult to injury, the seller has relisted the same item, completely unpunished.

OP3 years agoThe seller shipped today, what should I do with the request?
Personally, given the seller's behavior? On Wednesday do I go ahead with the report to eBay? If I no longer wanted the item because I fear it is in conditions different from those declared by the seller (he sold it as new, still sealed), what should I do? Do I accept the item and inspect it? Then if it is not as described in the listing, how can I proceed having already opened a dispute?

Mentore3 years agoLeave the dispute open until the package arrives, accept it and check the contents.
If the item is not as described, you can close the dispute for item not received and open one for item not as described. https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-refunds/ottieni-aiuto-per-un-oggetto-che-non-arrivato?id=4042&st=7&po=1&uci=0&ri=0#section5

OP3 years agoWell, if the seller had been honest, none of this would have happened.
I tried contacting eBay customer service, but they’re at the same intelligence level as Amazon’s bots, repeating like a parrot: 3 business days, 3 business days, so in the end a sneaky seller like this can upload a non-existent shipping code and get away with it sine die.

Mentore3 years agoThe correct seller should have canceled the sale to allow an immediate refund.
The refund request procedure with eBay, after opening it, provides three working days for the seller to try to resolve the problem. Only from the following day can you request the refund directly from eBay.
