Damaged item after 3 months
Hi everyone,
3 months ago I bought a sewing machine from a German seller. The listing said that all the machines for sale are serviced and oiled. After 3 months I had to take it in for repair and the technician told me that the motherboard is completely oxidized and beyond repair. I should mention that the machine has always been kept in a suitable room, not in a basement. Ebay says that by now I can’t ask them for any refund, the guy is now nowhere to be found after scamming me and I was thinking of turning to PayPal. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Mentore3 years agoThe conformity guarantee provided by eBay is valid for only 30 days from delivery of the item. The legal conformity guarantee must be provided by the seller; for a professional EU seller, no less than one year on used goods.
I understand that it becomes difficult to enforce the warranty legally against a German seller, so the dispute on the PayPal site might help.
