Out-of-stock item, seller refuses to start refund
Summary: alveoten bought an item, but the seller said it is out of stock and is refusing to cancel the order so as not to lose money. alveoten is looking for advice on how to get a refund without waiting 10 days to open an item not received case, and doesn’t trust canceling the order on their own to avoid complications.
I bought an item,
the seller contacted me to let me know that the item was out of stock.
I asked them to cancel the order so I could get a refund.
They’re refusing because they’re afraid of losing money.
The only thing I can do is wait for the period to expire so I can open an item not received case, but I have to wait 10 days.
Is there no other way?
I can also cancel the order on my side, but there’s no reason that matches item out of stock, and I don’t trust the seller—I don’t want to get screwed over somehow by taking on the burden of cancelling the sale.

Mentore1 month agoIf the seller doesn’t do it of their own accord, there’s no other way than to wait for the presumed delivery date to pass and open a report.
Anyway, if they don’t do it now, they’ll be obliged to do it later, so the seller isn’t very bright...
Kind regards.
