Never paid item

Question

On December 7 I sold an item through auction and I immediately shipped it, however as of today I have never received the payment, in fact the buyer requested cancellation (which I refused since, being an auction, according to eBay policy they are obliged to pay the agreed price). Also, the buyer has never replied to my messages. What can I do? At this point I would like to cancel everything even though it annoys me to have lost money

You should never have shipped before payment from the buyer.

Now not only do you have no means to force him to pay, but it's too late to even cancel the transaction (max 30 days and unfortunately those have already passed) so you'll be forced to pay out of pocket even the fees to eBay for the "sale".

I don't know whether, in this case, you can report the buyer for embezzlement (and above all whether it's worth it); after all, you shipped him an item (unpaid by him) on your own initiative.

Luckily it was an item of moderate value and you only owe eBay another 1.35 euros.
