Good morning, something strange happened to me: a buyer purchased a two-volume work, the transaction went smoothly and through eBay's automatic label purchase, the shipping address provided by the buyer turned out to be a pickup point, namely a newsstand. When the parcel arrived at the pickup point address, the buyer contacted me saying he had checked with the newsagent, who claimed that the courier had not delivered any parcel to him. At that point the buyer checked the shipment status and, alarmed, asked me for assistance. I immediately moved to contact Poste Italiane and was told that the parcel had not been collected and was therefore being returned to the sender, that is, me. After I informed him of this, we agreed to wait for the parcel to be returned and he recommended that I send it back to him at another address. I also offered to cover the cost of the new shipment. After a few days he checked the tracking status and wrote to me saying that the parcel should arrive to me that exact day and he wanted confirmation. In reality the courier has still not delivered the parcel to me, so in replying to his message, he started sending me insinuations, saying that he was suspicious about the missed delivery to his city and the equally missed delivery to the sender; basically I got his address wrong, had the books sent back to me, and kept his money. With these claims he opened a case against me, writing this "The item in question did not reach me. The full address was missing (again provided by eBay at a pickup point). In addition, it has already been in transit back to the sender". I was upset to see this resolution request with this explanation; there was nothing else I could answer to the request other than providing the original tracking number and telling him that once I had the parcel back in my possession (it still has not arrived to me), I could refund him. In his reply he asks me to deal with eBay and not to contact him anymore. Is there any seller protection policy for this type of customer? Thank you
