Refunded item but vanished from the radar
Summary: The discussion is about an item that has been refunded but no longer appears in the tracking system. vintech300 initially presents the issue, and marioelegio and sika700 take part, but no details are provided about the proposed solutions or the final status of the matter.
Hello everyone, I bought an item in the UK that was shipped to me with GSP. Because of a courier error, it was sent back after 5 days (no pickup notice). I received a refund from Ebay but the item’s whereabouts are unknown and I was told that it is now the property of Ebay. It was a collectible item that was practically impossible to find and honestly I would have preferred the item over the refund, and it seems absurd to me that Ebay cannot reschedule the shipment in clear cases of errors. In the past, I’ve had a package returned to the seller but in those situations I always reached an agreement and the item was regularly delivered to me. The GSP policy is not transparent to me. Is there anyone who can suggest a concrete action to get the goods back, of course returning the refund? Thanks for your attention
Vincenzo

OP11 months agoYour reasoning is wrong and supports a certain way of doing things by big companies. Who gives me back the time I lost for having inspected the item? The stress of the auction and the illusion of having obtained something I had been looking for for years? The system should ensure security for both parties, which for the buyer means receiving the item they purchased and paid for properly. If there had been no GSP, the goods would have been returned to the seller, with whom I could have arranged to have it sent back to me, as has often happened in the 20 years I have been on eBay.

Have a good evening.

Mentore11 months agoThe item remained in the carrier's possession (probably Pitney Bowes), it was not delivered to the buyer, but neither was it returned to the seller. In any case, you have been refunded and can no longer claim anything.
