RMA item purchased a few months ago has stopped working
Summary: otrebla_snake_ita has purchased a graphics card through an RMA from a user several months ago and now faces issues as the card has stopped working. Despite being under warranty, they do not have the original invoice and the seller is unresponsive. They are seeking advice on how to proceed, specifically if there's a way for eBay to assist in contacting the seller, or if they are at risk of losing the GPU.
Hello everyone,
A few months ago I bought an RMA video card from a user (he also showed me the RMA receipt). The item in question is still under warranty, but I don't have the original invoice.
Just today the video card stopped working, I tried a few things but in the end I had to put my old card back in to be able to use the PC.
As a result, the only option I have is to send the product in for warranty service.
I had already written to the user a few days ago to ask for the video card's purchase receipt: if possible, I wanted to register the product on the manufacturer's website so I could link it to my account, but I didn't receive a reply; I’m afraid the user in question doesn't normally log in to eBay and may not even have notification emails enabled.
At this point what options do I have? Is there a way to get eBay to contact the user, or if he never reconnects (or, alternatively, ignores my messages), am I forced to throw away the GPU (which, I repeat, is still under warranty)?
Thanks a lot!

Mentore1 month agoIf the card was bought from a private seller, you have no guarantee... and since "a few months" have passed, eBay can no longer help you... so the solution is to throw it away.
Kind regards.
