Item removed from eBay after 1 day without notice
Good morning, I wanted to report something that happened to see if it complies with eBay rules. On December 30 I made an offer for an item that maybe, I admit, was a bit low... But I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to lower the price.... The seller replied offended that he did not accept the offer. On January 1 I tried again to propose a price reduction... from 115 to 100 and the seller accepted. I tried to make the payment but the money in my PayPal was not enough so I wrote to the seller that I would pay as soon as the top-up arrived on the card. Since January 1 is a public holiday, or I don't know for what other reason, my bank transfer was pending for a few days. I tried to warn the seller again via eBay but I could no longer find the item. When the money was credited to my card so I could pay, I contacted the seller again also by email but she did not reply until I told her that I would report the incident to eBay. At this point she replied that because of my delay in payment.... 2 days!!!!!.... she got angry and removed the item. I have made many purchases and offers but I have never had problems and indeed I have always had positive messages. I would like this seller to get my NEGATIVE feedback. An agreement made is as good as a given word. Thanks to anyone who can answer me. Have a nice day

Mentore3 years agoHonestly, reading what you wrote, I can’t really fault the seller.
Instant bank transfers and other ultra-fast methods exist for topping up a card, and you can also pay through PayPal using your bank account directly. Even in the case of payment, An agreement made is as good as your word.

OP3 years agoGood morning the instant bank transfer did not go through. Anyway, I had warned the seller about the delay and if he had replied giving me his IBAN, I would have immediately made the transfer to him without using PayPal. I believe that waiting 2 days was not a problem since I had warned him about the delay. None of the sellers I have bought from has ever given me any problems. I have been buying on eBay for years and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. I’m sorry, but there was nothing else I could do except warn about the delay, but the seller removed the item the next day and I would like to point out that we made the agreement at 10/11 p.m. on January 1!!!!! Mentore3 years agoLeaving aside the issue of the bank transfer to the seller... this violates eBay rules... BEFORE buying the item, since for sellers waiting a couple of days can be a waste of time, I would have made sure I had enough money on the card, to avoid embarrassing situations like this.
I'm speaking as a seller... if a buyer insists on buying one of my items so much and then complains about not having enough money... sorry... but I would have been pretty pissed off too.
As Mario rightly said already, both the seller and you made an agreement, and you were the first not to respect it, by not honoring your commitment promptly.
Personally, I would let it go and move on...

OP3 years agoThanks for the replies. I'll definitely leave it alone, also because the seller has removed all the items he had for sale or anyway I can no longer see them..... I'll just say that 2 days of waiting, or rather a day and a half since the deal was made in the evening, I don't think is a long wait. Anyway, I don't know if a seller can block buyers, but I can no longer see anything he was selling. Regards.
