Hello to all users. I have a question: when, for purchases from non-EU countries, VAT is collected by Ebay at the time of payment, how does the postman know so as not to charge it again? I received a package from England with VAT already paid, but I had to pay it again because it wasn’t shown anywhere, as there was no document on the package. Thanks

Mentore3 years agoAs already explained several times here on the forum, to import an item from non-EU countries, you don’t just pay VAT...
You also pay customs charges and the carrier’s fees... as well as any duties if the item’s value is over €150.
So check carefully what you paid the postman and if the document issued clearly states that you also paid VAT, you can request a refund from ebay:
